AGreenNest is an independent plant-care resource run by a small team of real growers based in Portland, Oregon, USA. We were founded in 2019 after one too many overwatered succulents taught us that good advice has to be plain, friendly, and actually tested.
In 2019 one of us brought home a plump little rosette, watered it lovingly every other day, and watched it turn to translucent mush within a month. The advice we found online was either a twelve-step chemistry lesson or a cheerful "just don't kill it!" Neither helped. So we started writing the guide we wished we had had: plain, friendly, and actually tested on real windowsills.

Why We Care
Plants are quiet companions. They soften a hard day, clean the air, and — best of all — they teach patience. We have seen shy beginners turn into confident plant parents who now trade leaf cuttings like baseball cards. That transformation is why AGreenNest exists.
We are not a faceless content farm. Every article here is grown by people who have overwatered, underwatered, sunburned, and happily rescued the exact plants we write about. When we say "wait until the soil is dry," we mean it because we have learned it the messy way.
